Hey there! The Name’s Miles…

…And welcome to my blog!

If you’re here, you probably know me already; but if you don’t, welcome! Since I’ve already written a long-winded intro for the ‘about me’ page, I figured I’d just post that here so that you know who I am and what I’m here for.

If you don’t know already, I’m an author, freelancer, and part-time cashier.

I was born on April 16th, 1997, in the quaint little city of Durham. I studied game design at Teesside University, graduating in 2018. In addition to writing, one of my biggest passions is working with young writers, and I have worked with New Writing north to lead several masterclasses.

I have also worked alongside Simon Berry to transcribe and typeset the book for the Gilesgate Story Challenge, a young writers’ competition based in Durham.

When it comes to writing, my favourite genres to work in are scifi and fantasy. I often write stories featuring LGBTQ+ themes, and I hope that one day my writing will be able to help young people facing difficult times.

My first novel, Riftmaster, is due to be released in 2021.

And that about does it! Welcome to my blog, and I hope you stick around for more!

Tl;dr: I’m here, I’m queer, and I’m getting ready to spread some cheer!
